NowMessage stores your voicemail in your e-mail account and also keeps a copy for two weeks. The copy is retained so that you can call NowMessage to pick up your messages over a telephone. This copy is deleted after two weeks whether or not you listen to the message. Because they are deleted automatically, your mailbox will never fill up and will always be able to take messages.

While it is possible for your e-mail account to fill up, most have enough storage for thousands of hours of voicemail. If your e-mail account is full, we recommend signing up for a free account such as with Google® or Yahoo®.

The number of rings before the call is forwarded is controlled by your wireless carrier. If you are on a GSM network (such as T-Mobile or AT&T), you can set this as part of the dial string. On other networks, you have to call customer service to change the number of rings.

For GSM, you can control the number of rings by doing the following:

*61*16172861800*11*[Time]#
<send>

where [Time] can be any of 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30 - and means the number of seconds to wait before forwarding the call.

For example, *61*16172861800*11*15# would cause calls to be forwarded after 15 seconds (approximately 3 ring cycles).

Boston, Massachusetts, April 16, 2009 – Common Voices, a leader in IP voicemail systems, announces the immediate availability of enhanced voicemail for Android G1 phones using the T-Mobile® network. A free service, NowMessage.com removes the restrictions of traditional network-based voicemail by leveraging the e-mail and display capabilities of the G1 smart phone.

NowMessage.com allows users to view and hear their voice messages directly on their G1 handset. Since NowMessage.com sends your messages to your Gmail account, your voice mailbox is never full and messages are protected forever.

“I love my G1 phone, but I was disappointed to learn that the voicemail was not integrated with my e-mail account. I signed up for NowMessage.com after reading about it on the web, and it is exactly the right tool for the job. I had tried other services in the past, and they didn’t work, were too expensive or were too complicated to use. NowMessage strikes the right balance—it gives me my voice mail in my e-mail, just the way I want it,” said Chance Justin Korte, President/CEO of ZIONTEL.

Google® built Android from the ground-up to enable developers to create compelling mobile applications that take full advantage of all a handset has to offer. NowMessage.com calls upon the phone’s core functionality, in this case the ability to display and play new and saved voicemail messages on the handset, without having to dial-up a traditional voicemail system. Since all messages are presented via Gmail, they can be forwarded, archived or replied to as e-mail.

NowMessage.com service works with any e-mail account. Subscribers can also be notified of all calls missed when the phone is powered off or out of range. Since voice messages arrive in e-mail over the data network, subscribers can listen to their messages without spending wireless voice minutes. T-Mobile G1 users can sign up in seconds by visiting www.NowMessage.com.

Boston, Massachusetts, October 21, 2008 - Common Voices, a leader in IP voicemail systems, announces the immediate availability of NowMessage.com for Blackberry® users on Alltel Wireless and U.S. Cellular networks.

A free service, NowMessage.com releases users from the restrictions of conventional voicemail.

“I am thrilled with the response to our service and to hear from subscribers that NowMessage.com solves real problems for Blackberry users,” said Todd Hasselbeck, Chief Executive Officer of Common Voices. “We’ve received many requests to include additional wireless networks, both in the U.S. and in Canada. I am pleased to welcome Alltel and U.S. Cellular subscribers to experience the smart voicemail features available through NowMessage.com.”

NowMessage.com is used in place of the bundled voicemail that comes with your wireless phone service. NowMessage.com allows users to hear their voice messages directly through their Blackberry, or over a multimedia computer, or via any telephone. NowMessage.com records your voicemail message and sends it to your e-mail account, so your mailbox is never full and messages never expire. It brings Unified Communications to your Blackberry in the same way that state of the art business phone systems combine e-mail and voicemail messages on your desktop.

“I signed up as soon as I heard that NowMessage.com was available for U.S. Cellular,” said Karen Meredith, a subscriber. “I thought it was so cool to get my voice messages in my e-mail box that I told my co-workers to sign up too-including my boss.”

NowMessage.com voicemail works with any e-mail account, and messages can easily be forwarded to friends and family or saved for protection or posterity. The user is also notified of all calls missed when the phone is powered off or out of range. Not only is the NowMessage.com service free, subscribers can pick up messages without spending wireless voice minutes.

Blackberry users served by compatible US-based wireless networks (currently Alltel Wireless, AT&T Wireless, T-Mobile, U.S. Cellular, and Verizon Wireless) can sign up by visiting www.NowMessage.com.

“Once someone leaves you a voicemail, NowMessage gets right to work. It converts the message to a .wav file, and sends it to your email address and sends you a text alert (if applicable).

Really, that’s it. You can then download the attachment, which will automatically open and play in your BlackBerry Media Player. It doesn’t take too long to download, or at least it didn’t for me (Verizon in NYC). While the file is small, the voice quality is surprisingly decent.”

“I like to think of it as smart voicemail for smart phones,” said Stephen Kowal, an Independent Wireless Technology Professional. “I’ve been using this service with my BlackBerry on T-Mobile since day one. I love that I can just click on a message on my phone and hear it without having to navigate through voice menus. I can even click on the caller ID to return the call. It is a real time saver.”
