Can I control the number of rings before NowMessage answers?

The number of rings before the call is forwarded is controlled by your wireless carrier. If you are on a GSM network (such as T-Mobile or AT&T), you can set this as part of the dial string. On other networks, you have to call customer service to change the number of rings.

For GSM, you can control the number of rings by doing the following:

  • *61*16172861800*11*[Time]# <send>

where [Time] can be any of 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30 – and means the number of seconds to wait before forwarding the call.

For example, *61*16172861800*11*15# would cause calls to be forwarded after 15 seconds (approximately 3 ring cycles).
